We have just completed yet another cycling event for Human Race, which was held in Wiltshire, UK. This cycling event took place in the lovely Lydiard Park on the 24th June featuring 40km and 75km routes. Close to Swindon, Bath, Bristol, Oxford, Gloucester.
Cycletta is the UK’s leading series of women only bike rides set in stunning, family friendly host venues. Congratulations to everyone who took part in Cycletta Wiltshire on Sunday 24th June and who helped make the day such a success! Communication Specialists supplied the following for this event’s communications.
- We supplied over 20 Digital Hand radios
- Installed central base station equipment in remote control room located in Lydiard Park
- We provided two engineers for installation and technical support for the duration of the event who stayed in a tent
- We provided the customer with 2x WAN (Wide Area Network) channels that covered the entire route providing seamless radio communication with none of the black spots
- Additionally added a few simple local frequencies for general use
- We setup temporary battery powered digital repeater with a 20m mast with a high gain antenna
The top ten riders for the 40K finished with times of 01:35:09 to 01:41:43 and the top ten riders for the 75K finished with times of 03:08:11 to 03:16:27 – quite impressive we would say!
