Abu Dhabi Triathlon 2013

Once again Communication Specialists has been invited to supply the equipment for the Abu Dhabi Triathlon, this world famous course is a joy for us to attend, the event went well and our customer was overwhelmed with the service we provided. Unfortunately we had some serious delays from the courier company. Having men assigned to carry heavy goods for us and we worked until late at night, however, we still managed to complete the installations on time.

The race village and transition will once again be based at the East Plaza (Public Beach) on the Corniche. It will be a sea swim from the beach, the bike course will weave through the unmistakable scenery of the city of Abu Dhabi, featuring tree-lined roads, landscaped parks and gardens and the sparkling waters of the Arabian Gulf, which surround the city, all under the safety of completely closed roads.

To the east of the city the bike route passes over Saadiyat Island and on to another attraction sure to whet the appetite of the cyclist; Yas Island, the home of iconic attractions including Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld. Here athletes in the short and long course will cycle round the Yas Marina Circuit which hosts the penultimate race of the F1 season.

The run course remains unchanged, heading west along the Corniche out onto the breakwater with stunning views back to the city on the return leg. Athletes will finish at the East Plaza location.
